with Meanings
Foetus: at
this time, a baby is growing inside it’s mum’s womb
Infant: a
baby or very young child
Toddler: a
child who has only recently learnt to walk
Teenager: a
person who is between 13 and 19 years old
Adolescence: the
time in a person’s life when he or she develops from a child into an adult
Puberty: the
period of a person’s life during which their sexual organs develop and they
become capable of having children
Middle age: the
period of your life when you are neither young nor old, between the ages of
about 45 and 60
Retirement age:
stopping work because you have reached a particular age
Birth: the
process of coming into existence as a new individual
Infancy: the
earliest stage of childhood, typically from birth to 18 months
Childhood: the
period of time in a person’s life when they are a child
Puberty: the
stage of life when a person’s body begins to develop and change, leading to the
ability to reproduce
Adulthood: the
stage of life after adolescence, when a person is fully grown and capable of
taking on adult responsibilities
Middle age: the
stage of life between young adulthood and old age, typically between 40 and 60
years old
Old age: the
stage of life after middle age, typically considered to begin around 60 or 65
years old

branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and
disorders of old age
